Eleanor L. Cain was appointed Director of the Delaware Division of Services for Aging and Physical Disabilities in 1973. After almost 28 years, she retired and started Cain Associates consulting firm, assisting public and private agencies with aging issues. Ms. Cain has served on national boards, presented papers and won awards both nationally and in Delaware. In 1994, she was inducted into the Delaware Women's Hall of Fame. In 1982, she was appointed by President Reagan to attend the World Assembly on Aging in Vienna, Austria. From 1991-1996, she consulted for the U.S. State Department to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, assisting them with aging issues. Ms. Cain currently serves on the Regional Advisory Board of the Salvation Army and its Executive Committee as well as Winterthur's Access Advisory Group for Public Programs. Ms. Cain is a native Delawarean and graduated from Centenary College in New Jersey.
